The Pink Panther

For Christmas, I was fortunate to receive a DVD collection of the old Pink Panther cartoons. I adored the Pink Panther as a kid and watching these again still make me laugh. Having studied animation, I can really appreciate the work that has gone into making these shorts and it inspires me to create something similar!

I adore his walk cycle, he has a little skip in his step, as shown at the beginning of this short:

Penguin and Puffin Postcards

Have I mentioned that I love books? I think they are my favorite things! And yes I do tend to judge a book by its cover, first impressions are everything, I cant help it! The puffin and penguin postcard collections look great and should be on the wish list, I love vintage and the way it can make you feel when it reminds you of something from your childhood.

 These are vintage czech film posters from Terrys online poster shop. I could have spent hours browsing here! We should always remember to look to the past for sources of inspiration.

These book covers for penguin by Coralie Bickford-Smith are beautiful, they would look fantastic on my bookshelves!

Through browsing her site I found a link to Uppercase magazine, a magazine for the creative and curious which looks great and its worth checking out their site and trying to get hold of a copy of the magazine.

My friend made this quilt for me when Freya was born, it inspires me everytime I look at it a makes me want to create something. What an amazing gift it must have taken her ages!
