I think studio aka is my favorite animation studio, I love so many of the things they have done. Take a look at their most recent showreel here.

My favourite is lost and found an animation based on the book by Oliver Jeffers...

and I love the big win or bag of smiles advert for camelot remember that one? 

Of course there's the Lloyds Tsb campaign... 

The Winter Olymics on the BBC, JoJo and the stars...

Tv Advert Audi Hummingbird

This is the Audi advert Kat showed me the other week and I saw it on telly for the first time the other day. It is so beautifully done and I love the concept behind it. This is the kind of thing I like to do, one kind of object representing another to create a visual metaphoric symbolic contrast thingy ha ha does that even make sense? I love the fox gloves above and the field of yellow pedestrian crossing lights. Nature and traffic do not go together well which is the beauty of this ad. Triggered a memory of my major project for my degree where I was trying to make a portrait of mother nature by making the figure out of bits of things in nature, a tree trunk for her leg, fish scales on her arm vine hair etc, I debated adding more contrast by making her mechanical in sections, but I got lost in the nature side of it but its an idea I always wanted to explore further. Must find those sketches and post them here to remind me ;)

Twinings Tv Advert

This advert caught my eye on tv the other day, it is just beautiful. In a way I was disappointed at the end that it was only advertising tea! I think they are trying to do something bigger though and encourage women to spend some time on themselves. A pleasure to watch, the adverts are getting more interesting than the tv programmes! And you know what? I might just go and buy some Twinings after that rather than the same old supermarket brand, I love a nice cup of tea.

Twirl Bites Advert

 I love the new Twirl bites advert, so many things to look at, so much detail, so much fun. On the subject of adverts, do you remember this coca cola advert the happiness factory? This is the link to the long version which I had never seen before, very nice loving the fluffy lip balls!
